Note: The new version of the Moana Project hindcast of the ocean state around New Zealand - Moana Backbone v2 - has been added to the THREDDS server. This presents an improvement from v1.9, with increased vertical resolution in the model run, a better representation of the ocean floor in regions of steep bathymetry, and a revised boundary condition. This leads to a better reproduction of the water column density structure (temperature and salinity), especially in deep waters (>1000m). The data is available as daily mean values for the surface and water column interpolated to standard depths.
